Wrinkly Bits

March 7, 2026

We went to a Tango dinner/dance tonight…what fun! And a nice young lady took pictures of us, all decked out to Tango, but wouldn’t you know it, she disappeared before the Tango show finished, so I have no pictures, but trust me, we were a couple of tango-ers. Now you might think I’m kidding, but I’m not…she just flat out disappeared and even the management had no idea where she went. I’m thinking fired…or we broke the camera…or some other dasterdly event.

Let me paint you a picture…These gorgeous twenty-somethings, clad in fishnet stockings (think the leg lamps), six inch heels, and sequinned constumes and thirty something men dressed to the nines tangoed for a couple hours…and they were terrific. They obviously are boneless because their lithe bodies moved every which way and the male dancers bounced them around as if they were helium balloons. The Tango is a lovely dance, but it is obvious you have to be nimble, have a BMI in the negatives, and no fear of falling or even dancing backwards in spike heels. The thought of wearing any shoe except tennis shoes gives me the jitters these days.

The musicians were excellent…all in their 80’s, i’m sure, pianist, bass player, guitarist, and an accordianist…So fun to hear and they were as entertaining as the dancers.

It was a lovely evening, and tomorrow, we get on the ship. We are ready!
